Train to Leeds then picked up by Ed and Indy (That’s Toni, his dad, wearing his mad Indiana Jones style hat). Good start was asking locals how to get back on the M1 north bound, no such thing, it was obvious the trip was going to be easy!

Long journey up with plenty of stops, visited Duncansby Head lighthouse that is arguably the highest point on the mainland, then we found the famous northern signpost and our first of many youth hostels. Restless sleep, like being with the 7 dwarfs, we had snorty, grumpy, wheezy, outboard, farty and the frog chorus in our dorm.
