The early overcast weather couldn’t dampen my mood, as I knew I’d be at home tonite, but it soon passed to make way for sunshine to help us through Tamworth and Coleshill. Ed got a new seat clamp post to stop him spinning round and riding side saddle all the time, and I got the chance to visit my current colleagues at Trelleborg Sealing Solutions, Solihull. Plenty of sarky comments about my lycras and saddle sores which was expected.
Nice to get back out in the country for the last part through Alcester, Worcester & Ledbury on our way to my hometown Ross-on-Wye. We actually passed through 6 counties in today’s ride. In the evening we had a charity gig by ‘The Banned’ at the high school which gave us a great evening of music with friends to help boost the funds for the Noah’s Art Trust charity. Ben was back from Canada and on form when singing. A welcome change to be in my own bed for tonite.
