Saw the huge 250 ft Jodrell Bank radio-telescope then headed over to Leek to meet my ex-colleagues at GKN Driveline.

Andy C and Chris P kindly joined us on their bikes for a great 30 mile blast round the country lanes by Ashbourne. Ed & I were very jealous of their bikes but happy that our trusty steeds had survived really well up till now. We were very lucky to have sunshine and always seemed to be about 10 mins in front of the rain showers all the time. However, the rain did catch up with us for the last 30 mins but that wasn’t so bad.

Our YH in Swadlincote was only 9 months old and so still had all the jigsaw pieces and playing cards in the games cupboard. Excellent food in their restaurant gave us a break from cooking ourselves.
