Sad to leave YH and our new found cycling friends but we had plenty of miles to ride so just got our heads down and headed off. Generally overcast morning, sunny later on. Pretty bland heading down the A6 and other parallel roads, through Preston and Chorley – too much concrete and not enough rolling fields for us. Ed’s knee hurt a little early on but his cold seemed better later so he ended strong.
