Drizzle early on and a strong head wind made it real tough going today. Nice to be in Cornwall, the last county of the ride. The miles of hills also really sapped the energy from my already tired legs. It was a day to be mentally strong as well, as after climbing the hills we still had to cycle downhill cos of the headwinds.

The afternoon had better dry weather on the run down to St Michael’s Mount, Penzance and eventually Lands End. We felt like local celebrities getting our pictures taken by the famous white mileage post and then signed the official book. Back to the Penzance YH and then onto a pub for a well earned pint and mixed grill.
