24/8/08. Day 11. Burnham-on-Sea to Hartland
94m today, 913m so far, Ride time 7 hrs 47 mins
Sunny and bright and quiet roads as we headed through Bridgewater, passed another Trelleborg site and out across the north Devon coast road.

Porlock Hill was a tough test, 1:4 angle for 2 miles, cheered on by a family in their car, then rolling hills afterwards, I passed with flying colours but it took plenty of energy out of my legs.

Lynmouth was heaving with bodies in the sun enjoying this beautiful tucked away part of Devon. I didn’t realise that Paul O’Grady was a smartly dressed fisherman. More hills to follow as we headed through Barnstaple and Bideford, then onto our YH. I got lucky getting my hands on the most up-to-date book in the place – a ’92 Dandy annual!
